Fire fighting & disaster management training
On 28th of June, the fire fighting & disaster management training was held at the Mt. Lavinia beach, under the guidance of ‘Wishwaji’ young fighters association and St. John ambulance. 28 employees from rescue & disaster management team participated to this event. The director of ‘Wishwaji’ association practically explained about the value of yoga meditation and Mind massaging therapy. The emergency medical technician of St John ambulance taught the emergency preparedness, first response and firefighting. Mr Samith, junior Hr manager of GP Garments, presented a practical session regarding “Team building and Leadership”. It was a very interesting program; all participants enjoyed the program at mount’s sandy beach.

Annual GP Volley ball tournament
GP Garment’s annual volley ball tournament was held on 26th of June at the company premises. There were 8 girl’s teams and 12 boy’s teams. Girl’s championship was taken by CPU team; Boy’s championship was taken by Special machine team.

Social dialogue motivation program
The labor department of Colombo has conducted a social dialogue motivation program on 2nd June at GP premises. 80 participants were selected for this program. The social dialogue unit of labor department highlighted, during their valuable speeches, how to be a self-motivated and responsible employee.
