Supervisors Day (November 2022)
GP Supervisors day was a phenomenal event held on the 19th of November 2022. As Work life balance is vital as mental satisfaction, these kind of events brings colour and light to GP Family. Identifying the need of supervisors’ mental satisfaction and to appreciate them for their hard work and contribution to GP during hard times such as pandemic and crisis situation, event was conducted in a beautiful costal area Hotel in down south of Sri Lanka. Beach cleaning CSR event was one of the highlighted event and just to see how togetherness can bring so much joy and unity among all was remarkable. For this event 85 supervisors from GPS and GPD, all production managers, senior managers and HR team participated.
In the Light of International Children’s Day, GP Management conducted an art competition for all GP worker’s children. Competition title “Lama Lowe Siththama” was conducted under three age group categories under the teams of, Beauty of Ocean Creatures (Age 8-12), Beauty of Sri Lankan Nature (12-18) and Unforgettable outing (3-7). 289 Children participated in this competition and our GP Deraniyagala employees’ children also participated. Winners were given valuable gifts and vouchers as a support for their education. All Participants were given a Certificate as an appreciation.
With the world pandemic and crisis situation, GP Staff were unable to celebrate togetherness for all most 3 years. Over coming all obstacle, in the year 2022, we were able to celebrate GP Staff festivity under the theme of Halloween on the 28th of October. It was a glamorous and splendid event. Event was held at Heaven’s De Fountain Hotel located in Thummodhara, with the participants of 83 Staff members including the senior management.
