New year party and Launching “Nagenahiru – Rising sun” (11th edition) and “Panhindaka Arumaya – Short story collection” (10th edition) at the beginning of 2018

On 3^rd of January 2018, GP garments started its new working year with the launch of “Nagenahiru – Rising sun magazine” (11^th edition) and “Panhindaka Arumaya – Short story collection” (10^th edition). ‘’Negenahiru’” illustrate all GP Garments activities done during the year (sport, cultural, health and safety, religious,dancing etc), it shows performances as well as the skills of GP workers. Workers are also free to write articles and express themselves about any kind of subject. In ‘’ Panhindaka Arumaya’’, by writing short story, workers express their feeling, concerns, dreams, yearning, ambition.

On that day GP is always inviting a chief guest, this year it was Mr. Professor Sarath Wijesooriya, his words motivate the workers for this new challenging year.

Managing director, Chief Finance & other compliance officer, Factory manager, H.R manager thank GP Family for the great achievement of 2017 and wish all the best for this new year, may your wish become true. As usual, after the wishes the award ceremony was held.

After the award ceremony, DJ music entertained all the workers. Throughout the day, GP garments organized games like raffle draw, dancing competition… It was a memorable day for everyone and workers were very happy.  They encouraged themselves for the new year and started their work with new hopes.

GP Staff annual trip

GP staff annual trip took place on 30^th of September 2017 at Panadura – Jie Jie beach by Jetwing Hotel.

This event was organized by the management of GP Garments in order to offer all the staff members a full day fun and joy. The place was ready with an array with some games. These games meant for all the staff members with the guidance of an animator of the hotel. Some nice gifts were offered to the winners. The staff members enjoyed a delicious buffet at the hotel restaurant. GP’s team enjoyed the music played by a fabulous life band whole day, in the afternoon everyone was on the dance floor. Between two dances some GP’s members enjoyed the swimming pool facility. This day  was simply  awesome………..

Essay competition

In order to highlight the writing skills of its employees, GP Garments organized its annual essay competition during September, the following winners are selected:
