Year End Firefighting and Disaster Management Training 2018
The Year End Fire Fighting and Disaster Management training was held at GP Garments on 20th October 2018. It was organized by the HR team and employees were given a practical training to face any disaster. The lectures were given by BOI Fire Brigade team, HQI & Criminal Department SI – Avissawella Police Station , Mr. Chathuranga & Mr. Suraj from St. John Ambulance EMT.

GP singing star 2018
Annual GP Singing star competition for year 2018 was held on 26th of September at the GP Premises. Music was facilitated by Music Lovers band and the Judgement was provided by Musician Mr. Ajith Nanayakkara. Girl’s competition 1st place was won by Shanika Prasadini ( Nelum line), 2nd place was won by Shanika Dilhani (QC) and the 3rd place was won by Dushani Sandunika (Tharanga Line). Boys singing competition 1st place won by Nishshanka Abeysinghe (Supervisor), 2nd place was won by Mahinda Gamage (Maintenance) and the 3rd place was won by Ramesh Ashmika (Ware house). The most popular singing stars were Mahinda Gamage (Maintenance).

Book fair 2018
With the objectives of enhancing welfare facilities for GP employees, GP management has granted Rs. 100000/= for the library in year 2018. HR Team and some selected employees attended to the international book fair at BMICH in Colombo for around 3 days. At the venue, employees get the opportunity to meet famous writers like Mr. Sarath Wijesooriya, Mrs. Ganga Shayini and Mr. Edward Mallawarachchi…… It was a great events for book lovers!
