Understanding the crisis situation in Sri Lanka, collaboration with DASSY, GP Garments first CSR Project for year 2023 commence by providing Paint and other equipment to a local school at GP vicinity. This CSR project will continue in four stagers, under the theme of “Each one Reach one”. The very first stage is to refurbish the school old buildings and paint. It started in the Month of February.

GP CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2023 MONTH OF FEBRUARY

After 7 Years, we were able to conduct a sports event for GP employees to build team spirit, unity and enjoyment. GP Cricket tournament was held on the 17thof February. 10 Male teams and 10 Female teams participated in this event. Male team Champions were, GP Gajayo’s Team, & Runner’s up was won by Deraniyagala GP. Female team Champions was CPU Fighters and Runner’s up being Mighty Angels team. It was a gala event where everyone enjoyed with a massive gathering.

Non like the other Christmas Seasons, this year to enhance the talents of the GP Employees, we conducted an Inter Department GP Carols Competition. 13 Departments participated in this event and the Winners were QC Department. 2nd Place went to Production A and 3rd place was won by the Mechanics team. Following with many Christmas events and a lunch time music event on the last working day of year 2022 was outstanding.
