We have a well-established partnership with our suppliers across Asia including China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka… We are also able to purchase environmentally friendly made accessories and raw materials with Oekotex Certification.
Our 900 multi-skilled machine-operators, spread in 18 sewing lines, a CPU (Centralized Production Unit) and a COU (Centralized Operation Unit), are able to stitch 13,000 garments per day. Whatever the order quantity, we are capable to produce the full range of workwear, as trouser, short, jacket, coat, apron, shirt, overall, brace-overall, body-warmer, from the very basic to the high-end multi-pockets designs. While the clothes are mainly produced in 100% cotton and polyester-cotton woven fabric, we gained the know-how to provide products with technical fabric, such as hivis with reflective tape, fleece, water-proof with sealing tape seams, windproof, breathable or flame-retardant. From your drawing or design, our R&D department can provide you a sample and a costing within 3 weeks.
Being a responsible corporate organization, we, at GP Garments, comply with the Sri Lankan Industrial and Labour laws, regulations and standards, which guarantee our employees a wage above the minimum, health, safety and welfare at work, lawful working hours and overtime, a working environment without harassment, discrimination, prohibition of child labor and forced labor, maternity benefits, protection of employment, and superannuation benefits for the betterment of the workforce. We, at GP Garments, never compromise on the product’s quality. Strict quality procedures, which must be followed through the entire production process, have helped us to build a strong reputation as one of the most reliable suppliers in the work wear industry worldwide. Before any fabric is shipped from our supplier, our in-house lab test controls if the weight, color-fastness and shrinkage are according to the agreed specifications. Once the goods are delivered in our premises, at least 10% of the fabric rolls are inspected through the 4 points system. For each production line, we have assigned an in-line inspector who is checking each and every sewing operation through the 7.0 traffic light system while another team is controlling 100% of the garments before assembling the front and back parts and at the end of the line. Finally, a 20 members’ audit-team, working independently and directly reporting to the General Manager, are continuously randomly checking the packed goods by following the 4.5 AQL quality standard.
Having been in the industry for several decades has enabled us to be somewhat flexible when it comes to our Sales Conditions. We are able to offer you shipping incoterms such as FOB, CIF or DDP. Our invoicing is done in either EUR or USD depending on the customer requirement or geographical location and our payment terms and conditions are subject to negotiation.
